When you submit a contact form or leave a comment, we may receive the information shown in the form, such as your name, email address, website, message, and the page involved. Please do not submit sensitive personal, financial, identity, health, or account-security information.

Information collected automatically

Our website, hosting, security, anti-spam, performance-measurement, and content-delivery services may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, requested URL, timestamps, cookies, and security events. This information may be used to operate the site, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, understand site performance, and protect visitors.

Cloudflare performance measurement

We use Cloudflare to understand site visits and performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics collects page and performance information through a browser beacon. Cloudflare states that its Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage for analytics or track visitors over time through fingerprinting. Comments and avatars

Comment data and related technical information may be checked by automated spam-detection services. A hash derived from an email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to determine whether an avatar is available. This is not a promise that the information is anonymous. Gravatar is also provided by Automattic. If a comment is approved, the comment and associated public profile information may appear publicly.

Contact forms and anti-spam

Contact forms are handled through Contact Form 7. We use Akismet and CAPTCHA protection for both comments and contact forms to help prevent spam and automated abuse.

Akismet may receive submission content and related details, such as your name, email address, IP address, browser information, referring page and site URL, for spam checking. Read Akismet’s privacy information and Automattic’s visitor notice for its processing practices.

CAPTCHA checks may process browser, device and interaction information to assess whether a request is automated. Where Google reCAPTCHA is used, Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. reCAPTCHA sets a necessary cookie for risk analysis, as explained in Google’s documentation.

Messages may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, document requests, prevent fraud, or meet legal obligations. Please avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for your inquiry.

Visitor accounts and newsletters

We do not offer visitor member accounts or newsletters. You do not need to create an account to read the site, and contacting us does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

Cookies

The site may use essential, preference, security, comment, and embedded-service cookies. If you leave a comment, you may choose to save form details in cookies for convenience. Browser settings can be used to block or delete cookies, although some features may not work as intended.
